The restaurants around Diani Beach offer both, a country-style and international cuisine in a relaxed atmosphere.
For example:

  • Kokkos is an urban coffee shop that is quite popular. They sell delicious pastries and the best coffees on the beach. They also have a bar and good food, specializing in burgers.

  • Havana is a colourful Cuban inspired restaurant. There are pretty decent Mexican dishes on its menu.

  • Ali Barbour’s Cave is a must. The venue is unparalleled. Pricey but worth the money.

  • Forty Thieves Beach Bar is right on the beach and the ideal spot to have a light lunch.

  • Nomad Beach Bar is known for its Italian food including pizzas. It has the most fabulous views of the ocean.

  • Aniellos’ is a roadside Italian restaurant. It serves authentic Italian food.

  • Bidi Badu Beach Bar is known for its seafood although due to its popularity be prepared to wait for a while.

  • Lymingtons is at Kenyaways Kite Village. Consistent food, service and not to mention the fabulous views is why we highly recommend this place. It is a favorite with the expats living on the beach.

  • Sails is at Almanara and has the reputation of having the best food on the Kenyan coast.

  • There is a lovely Sushi restaurant in the same building as Kokkos.

  • DeeDees is a small, friendly restaurant offering great freshly made food.

  • Spice Route, a fantastic Indian restaurant in an air conditioned room at Swahili Beach resort
